Training Package

This is a package designed for the individual working holiday visa holder or Australian resident looking to gain employment in the Marine industry. This Course could be used as a stepping stone to leverage yourself into the Super Yachting Industry.

How the Program Works

Week 1: IYT International Crew Certificate for 6 days / 5 nights on SPIRIT (subject to change) where you will live aboard the vessel while sailing around the Whitsundays. Included: all meals, course notes, tuition, snorkelling equipment, Marine National Park Fees

Week 2-3: 12 nights on sailing tours (made up of 2 day/2 night or 3 day/2 night trips) around the Whitsundays as an extra crew member aboard our yachts. You'll get to work on the yachts with Professional Crews reinforcing the theory from your Sail Training Course.

Included in the Package: all meals while on the tours and a Crew Uniform, Plus – 5 Nights Backpackers Dorm/Share based Accommodation in Airlie Beach to be used in between rostered tours.

At the end of the Program: an interview will be arranged with the Human Resource /Recruitment Manager to evaluate your performance with a view to employment. Employment is based on need and successful performance. If you are from overseas it is necessary to obtain a Working Holiday Maker Visa before leaving home. On employment a valid Australian Tax File Number (TFN) will also be necessary. We suggest you apply for a TFN before leaving home.
